Con graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Galway in 1976. He then went on to work as a trainee accountant for Oliver Freaney & Company and as a financial controller for Reynolds & Loughrey Ltd. before striking out on his own and setting up the financial services consultancy Con Friel & Company in 1986.
Over the course of his career, he has amassed decades of experience, helping navigate clients through an ever-changing financial environment. His sharp business acumen, extensive experience and perspective constitute an unrivalled asset in a financial advisor, crucial to helping clients plan for and secure their financial futures.
After graduating with an MSc. in Financial Services from the University of Ulster Business School in 2010, Paul worked in Corporate and Wholesale Banking in Dublin for four years before moving to the United Arab Emirates to gain valuable experience in Wealth Management and Private Banking. Paul joined Con Friel & Company in 2017.
Paul holds a professional certificate in Financial Advice from the Institute of Bankers and a professional certificate in International Wealth Management from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). He is currently pursuing a professional diploma in Retirement Planning Advice from the LIA (professional education and development association for the Financial Services Industry).
